About us

John & I have been in the building industry for many years and have been fortunate to have our daughter and son-in-law carry on the business.  John while retired is kept busy with helping friends and family with various projects and likes to escape into the Marlborough Sounds for fishing and leisure.  Both of us really enjoy our family and grandchildren.  The reason we know there are eels in the Washbourne Gardens creek is because we have followed the odd ball into it.  We both love fishing and spending time on the water.

We sincerely hope you enjoy your stay at Mathea House and would appreciate you letting us know if you have any questions or concerns.  

Rules

Mathea House to be left tidy with any dirty dishes loaded into the dishwasher and all sheets and towels to be left on the floor of the laundry.  Please make sure all appliances are off including heatpumps/air conditioners.  

We don't allow pets, events, smoking or vaping.  In consideration of the neighbours, quiet times are 11pm - 7am.  

Arrival after 3pm and access via a code to the front door, which will be provided to you the morning of your arrival.  Departure is required by 10am.
