The beautiful Washbourn Gardens are just down the road, providing plenty of space for relaxing, picnics or playing with a ball . Further down Queen St are the shops, cafes, restaurants, shop and library. Along Salisbury Road is the indoor swimming pool and there are beach/pool towels provided.
If you are into biking, there are lots of trails nearby, or Saxton Velodrome as well as fabulous walks.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk that will take you into Tahunanui Beach or Nelson City.
Or hop in the car to visit the wineries, Rabbit Island Reserve, Nelson Lakes District, Kaiteriteri and Golden Bay. So much to see and experience.
